Sublime Skin Tightening

Sublime skin tightening technology is used to tighten facial skin. It is Health Canada and FDA-approved to tighten the jawline and reduce smile lines (nasolabial folds). Sublime cannot replace a facelift, but this non-invasive procedure is ideal for people who do not want surgery and have minor to moderate facial sagging.

The magic behind Sublime comes from the combination of infrared light and bipolar radiofrequency energy. Infrared light is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin. At the same time, bipolar radiofrequency energy creates heat at a low threshold, gently warming the skin without causing discomfort or unnecessary damage.

The fibroblasts in the skin—cells responsible for synthesizing collagen and connective tissue—are triggered as they are exposed to this combination of energy. The fibroblasts then create fresh new collagen to support a stronger and healthier structural framework for the skin.

Sublime is suitable for any skin type. We typically recommend a series of 5 treatments for optimal results, although most patients notice a visible difference after a single treatment.

You can expect little or no discomfort, and treatments are completed in about an hour. No downtime is required. We recommend a yearly maintenance treatment to further stimulate the skin to remodel collagen.

Dermapen® 4 Microneedling

Microneedling uses ultrafine needles to create micro-punctures in the skin. These controlled injuries trigger the body’s healing response, supporting the skin with increased blood flow and new collagen and elastin proteins—the two most important building blocks for healthy, resilient skin.

As the skin heals, these building blocks have a tightening effect that revives the treated areas’ appearance, texture, and elasticity. The treatment itself is not considered painful and is typically compared to an electric toothbrush vibrating against the skin.

Our Dermapen 4 microneedling device has built-in safeguards for an effective, sterile treatment. In addition, a personalized serum is used to protect the skin, allowing the device to glide smoothly over the face and neck.

Most patients need 3 to 4 half-hour treatments spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Results are visible within days but may take weeks to finalize as the skin heals and remodels itself.

When you visit us for your initial consultation, you will have ample time to explain your concerns, ask questions about the procedure you’re considering, and learn what to expect from your treatment and results.

At Heights Laser Centre, we do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. We create an individualized treatment plan for each patient based on their needs and body characteristics.

To determine whether skin tightening is the right option for you, we will examine the skin in your desired treatment area. If we determine you have too much loose or sagging skin to benefit from skin tightening treatments, we will recommend an alternative procedure or plan. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we will only recommend treatments that can achieve your desired results.

Your Treatment

Before your treatment begins, a team member takes “before” photos of your problem areas. Capturing this baseline is essential for accurately tracking the success of your results over time. You can review these images as you progress with your transformation.

During your treatment, you will be comfortably reclined in a private room and free to read or check your phone. You may even take a nap—the procedure is that easy! Patients describe our skin tightening treatment as relaxing, like a warm, deep-tissue massage. You won’t experience any of the downtime associated with surgery, so you can get back to regular activities immediately after your treatment session.
